Lanvin's Libertine Feast (Paris, France)

I just realized that I completely forgot to post the Lanvin windows I snapped the last time I was in Paris. So apologies if these images are almost ancient by now (I believe there's still a bit of an Xmas/New Years theme going on), but then again, good parties are relatively timeless. And judging by the bottles of champagne, various crustaceans and the dramatic poses, I'm sure these mannequins are having a better time than the average human. Of course, they also get to wear nicer clothes, jewelry and shoes than most...

  10. I think, these lucky guys get to wear nice Lanvin clothes whatever the season. :) Every time I wonder how much imagination people have to dress up the windows like this, always something new and exciting.

P.S. Just read your comment and no, I had no idea you worked with EW. Frankly, I don't really know much about you, you are such a mysterious girl. :) Which is quite fabulous, really.

  11. I'm always fascinated by window displays. I've worked in the fashion retail and I know just how much work and imagination an original display takes.

  17. I think it's funny and/or sad that these mannequins seem to have a more glamourous life than me, a real person! It's like a mannequin version of Gossip Girl :)

  30. Lanvin! Love their collection, but the only things I can afford from Lanvin is ones on sale or ones at H&M before haha.

so funny you were at goo goo dolls concert with 12 year olds, hmm I guess this time seeing them all the 12 year olds grew into 22... it's weird because I was one of the younger people in the crowd! there were ppl in their 40s there!

  33. lol! the mannequins most ASSUREDLY are dressed better and having more fun than most of us! how i would love to switch them for just a bit, particularly if i was still human! ok, that made no sense, but maybe you know what i mean!

hooray for lanvin displays -- pretty much the best i have ever seen. by far! LOVE THEM!

  36. ahahah it definitely looks a little late. but all is forgiven. how i wish to one day stroll by these lavishly decorated windows and snap joyous photographs! this is definitely one of those moments where i am truly envious of a mannequin, having a par-tay and decked in lanvin, sigh...

also i am glad someone shares my sentiments on Marc Jacobs as well as proenza (its so hard not to be bias w/the boys because they keep knocking it out). As for Marc, there's so many that are enamored by his great marketing, liking marc simply because, but i will say this collection is much better.

  37. I like the simpler-seeming windows among these... I find the overly fussy ones shadow the elegance of Lanvin.

Lucky you to see them in-person!
