Lanvin's Perfect Checkmate (Paris, France)

I'm once again playing catch-up by posting these slightly overdue Lanvin windows which were up in September. This time around, the mannequins posed as life-sized chess warriors, partially surrounded by giant chess figures. The most impressive props were probably the horses, but I'm sure if those helmets were for sale, they'd be snapped up in an instant. I also fell in love with the statement necklaces, which unfortunately are painfully expensive. A shame they didn't reproduce those for the H&M collection...

  7. WOW! I love anything equestrian themed (being a rider myself) and these windows are really spectacular! If I ever have a mansion, I want a bright red lacquered horse to go in the foyer ;)

  12. i was really getting a bit tired of those that went before. i enjoyed these.

i realised i never answered one question you asked sometime back: i haven't done anything to my hair for a while. they simply grew. i'll do something about it after the exams.

  13. I wish I worked in NYC again so I can catch some of the awesome window displays. The mall shopping areas in NJ don't usually get this creative with displays since there's less space to work with! Love these!

  20. Lanvin never disappoints when it comes to their displays. Have you ever thought of trying to meet the people who do the displays you feature? Would be interesting to get their thoughts on how they come up with these concepts!

  31. Miam, miam! J'adore presque tous les choses! Especially the overcoats and boots ... not to mention the swords!! Oh, my kingdom for a cool and cloudy day to don my knee-high patents and camel swing coats ... alas, today it was 95 degrees in L.A. Mon Dieu/Ick! Merci, merci ... adore tous les photos!
(Always keeping eye for any new Ralph Lauren, notably his 1930s- or western-inspired lines and all the L.A.M.B. you can find!! I am now finally following you; je reviens!)

  32. I am usually not a big fan of the Lanvin windows but I have to admit I love these, especially the red one with the horse.... maybe because I do practise horse-riding?
