Sorry for the lack of posts recently. Good weather and a slight lack of motivation sit in front of the computer has kept me away from the blogging world, but I hope to change that asap. It's also why I've been very behind in posting displays from one of my favorite boutiques. These store windows were up in May and even though I prefer the more whimsical mannequins (the lifelike ones tend to creep me out), this presentation was definitely more toned down than this previous example. As usual, past Lanvin displays can be found here.

ReplyDeleteAmazing and creative windows.
ReplyDeleteHello!! These may be my favourite Lanvin window displays that you have posted yet. I think the headless man holding a mask is just genius. (and the lady) The arm grabbing the shoe is also great...and I love the women's shoes here!!! I hope you had a great weekend and wishing you a happy evening!

Greetings from Houston ~ I'm glad that I'm not the only one that has found it nice to take a wee break from the laptop. Hard to do for long & I would of hated to miss yet another of one of your great posts. Lanvin in my book is always on the edge and always so good. These windows I like. Headless with masks..it just works. The nude dress is truly lovely and hard to take ones eyes off that necklace. I recently won a Lanvin necklace & the box alone made my day. They just know how to do everything right.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing really well? It sounds like your enjoying life as you should, it slips bye way too fast. I appreciate always your kind comments and encouragement. One day I hope we will meet. xx deb
Love the clothes (especially the draped nude dresses) but the disembodied masks are a bit disturbing to me!
ReplyDeleteNothing exciting there, is there? Totally artistic. Exactly what one would expect from Alber. So nice to actually see his windows, thank you for this. xx's
ReplyDeleteI love the Lanvin window display, love the limbs coming out of the bags and the masks. The red drapes and gold tassels make a bold statement.
ReplyDeleteGlad that you have been able to enjoy good weather there.
Hugs
Carolyn
i'm a bit scared by the masks and robes and I feel like it's taking away from my attention to the items in the display. however, it is very visually interesting. it's a little too Eyes Wide Shut for me.
ReplyDeletehope you're having a good start to the week!
i have to think a lot about what is the message behind it all - is there any or is it just, you know, "something we thought would be fun to do over here at lanvin".
ReplyDeleteif it's the first one - i love it.
if it's the second one - ...
These are amazingly cool. It's so creative. The ones with the arms are slightly creepy, but still quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteThey just can't run out of ideas, can they? Keep up the good work Lanvin, I'm always going to like your clothes and windows :)
ReplyDeleteReal world trumps blog world and I'm glad you're enjoying youself now that the weather is warmer :) But to be honest, the dangling body parts and masks kind of freak me out!
ReplyDeleteI love that statement necklace, what a great design!

ReplyDeleteA little creepy but really cool at the same time!
ReplyDeleteSO bizarre - I love it!
ReplyDeleteLanvin is a fave of mine, although the Resort 2011 collection was a bit dull for me.
Great photos of the window display!
just never disappoints, they're always so creative. hope you're well :-)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean re lack of motivation at times. I was a little behind on blogging & visiting other blogs as well. I hope you will be back to your usual updates etc when you have the time.
ReplyDeleteThe window display is just soo amazing. I always wonder how creative some of these people can be!
P.S let me know when you are next in London so we can meet for our usual catch ups :)

I'm with you. I'm not a big fan of lifelike mannequins...but I can't stop staring at these pics!
ReplyDeleteOh my, this is one of the best window displays I have seen in a long time. The draped white dress is just stunning - I wish I were wearing it right now (instead of my cute cat pajamas!) I love how the mannequins remind me of phantom of the opera!
ReplyDeletei love Lanvin!
ReplyDeleteWow. Those are so incredible. I love seeing store windows.

ReplyDeleteA masked ball indeed. Headless girls and boys prancing around the Lanvin store - must remmeber to visit next week for a up close and peronal peek. Enjoy the nice weather;-)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things in Paris (I went last July) was the store windows. This one is very modern, and very fun!
ReplyDeletePlease come join my *Cupcake Challenge*, I promise it will be loads of fun!!
Lanvin...sigh, they always have gorgeous displays. Don't worry about not blogging, enjoy the weather while it lasts.
ReplyDeletethese are a tiny bit creepy! just a little macabre! or perhaps i am projecting! hahaha. nevertheless, they are beautiful and quite intriguing!
ReplyDeleteand if i ever see that cowboy again, i will pounce if he doesn't have a girlfriend. :)
Ooooh this is hauntingly engaging. Like this is the kind of window display that would make me stop on the street and stare
ReplyDeleteThose windows are sooo cool! Loving them honey. Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous weekend!
LANVIN is so chic! always!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice play with the masks... Lanvin does have some mighty interesting window displays!
ReplyDeleteCan I let you in on a little secret? My dream has always been to throw a masked ball. Just with masks that are slightly less creepy than those.
ReplyDeleteLanvin always takes it to the next level, don't they?
So envious of your great weather -- I wish I could say the same way over here in Vancouver.

wow that's really neat and chic! My fav is the limbs coming out of the bag. And yeah I don't mind Miley dressing scandalous if she's legal of age, but she's not and everytime she expose herself it's just... ugh! not a turn on if I was a guy lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shop display, window displays just arent that interesting in the UK. So its nice seeing something really fun and different.

gorgeous lanvin's windows.... masks are so beautiful
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting these amazing window displays...as if I didn't already LOVE Lanvin enough....
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on lifelike mannequins being creepy...I just think if Kim Cattrall in Mannequin...weirdness. But these Lanvin windows are very innovative. Great post!

This is such an interesting display from Lanvin. Completely agree with you that the whimsical ones are preferable. This is rather, hmmm, shall I say, "different"? I didn't even notice the trench, the dresses and the lovely jewelries til after reading your caption. Maybe I just get spooked so easily but limbs popping out of bags (don't care even if it's Lanvin) is kinda freaky!! =)
ReplyDeletePS - The lack of posts is totally understandable in this good weather. I've also been slacking lately, but mine is because I suddenly realized I've only read 1 book the past 2 years so I immediately had to fix it and managed to read 6 in a row. =)
Its so lovely to be back in the blogging world after a 6 month break to see one of my favourite blogs still posting amazing things! Love it!
ReplyDeletexx
How creepy and cool! I always love that you post these for those of us who are so deprived of such cool window displays :-)
ReplyDeletewhat a creative window design it's too bad the the window designers rarely get credit. i'd love to know who did this.
ReplyDeletex
WOW! This window is kind of mysterious. I am always surprised by Lanvin!

ReplyDeleteWow that window is amazing, pushing the boundries of creativity. Love the cream dress
ReplyDeleteThis may just be me, but there's something artful yet disturbing about all those mannequin faces. Eep!
ReplyDeleteMhmmmm...bit of dramatic for me... I like it. :)
