Lanvin October Windows (Paris, France) & Awards

I'd like to thank everyone for the comments in the last post - I'm feeling much better now (although there's something to be said about lying on the couch all day). Anyway, I haven't done one of my beloved Lanvin posts in ages and if you're new to this blog, you'll quickly realize that the Lanvin boutique goes out of its way to display something out of the ordinary. Please click here to see some of their previous visual wonders. I'm way behind in posting these, because as I'm typing, newer (more Halloween related) windows are already up.

These windows may not be as exciting to some, because the usual dramatic mannequin poses have been replaced by something else. This time the windows were created in collaboration with Jean Yves and Tania & Vincent, who were in charge of the photography and installation. From what I can gather, the whole concept behind these windows is to demonstrate the importance of technology and how much people rely on photos, videos and other digital media to communicate with each other. The usual mannequin heads have been covered by giant posters of 'real' people or replaced with LCD monitors showing pre-recorded video footage of people talking, while various digital screens displayed random snippets of conversations.

I'm also way behind on posting and passing on awards, so apologies this took so long. Thank you to everyone who gave me an award. I'm very honored to have received all these! First up, I received the One Lovely Blog Award from the lovely Sharon Rose and stylish Fashionista. I also received the Kreativ Blogger Award from my fellow fab Parisienne Susu Paris Chic.
