McQueen's Medieval Fantasy (London, UK)

While everyone's already applauding the SS11 Alexander McQueen runway looks, courtesy of the incredible work of Sarah Burton, it's hard to forget McQueen's final collection for FW10 which was presented a few weeks after his death. When I last visited London, I was delighted to see two of the Fall runway dresses in the flagship window, which perfectly represented the medieval theme dominated by digital prints of art (depicting everything from angels to demons), intricate gold embroidery and stunning embellishments. Combined with McQueen's signature tailoring, every piece was a showstopper and if you took a closer look, you'll most likely also have noticed... the shoes. While most are only available via custom order, the store window ones were available for sale - if you had several thousand £ to spare.
